MPF is the coalition of over 200 environmental leaders, community development organizations, clean energy businesses, faith groups, neighborhood health and safety advocates and Massachusetts families fighting for our future. Register here for the zoom link, and get ready to dance!

At Thursday’s MetroWest Node meeting, we will…
Thursday, April 1, 7-8:30pm via zoom
CELEBRATE the passage of the climate bill and hear more on the work ahead to implement it.
ACTIVATE our lobbying mojo with a report from the State Legislative Team.
ANTICIPATE the launch of a new 350Mass website with a sneak prevew!
ACCLIMATE with a quick tour of the 350Mass Slack workspace, which offers an easy way to communicate within our network.
EVALUATE how often and where our Node meets and how we make decisions.

At the meeting, we’ll also share updates from the ongoing legislative action on climate bills and transparency rules.

As usual, we’ll also welcome announcements / requests for help on your own climate-related projects.

Yes, we CAN do something about climate change, TOGETHER!

We are citizen activists working to confront the climate crisis. We meet as the MetroWest Node of 350 Mass, a statewide climate activist network. Many of us are also members of the MetroWest Chapter of 350 Mass Action, which works to elect progressive climate champions. We welcome participants from the MetroWest suburbs of Boston and beyond. The Node and Chapter currently meet on the first and third Thursdays of each month, when we gather to share, learn, and organize to take action.

Legislative Actions

Time critical actions:

Municipal Sustainability Checklist

We have created a municipal “sustainability checklist” that can help towns compare what they are doing with other towns, as well as get ideas and encourage collaboration. For residents, the checklist helps understand what towns are doing and not doing, as well as set priorities for local advocacy. For organizers, the checklist is an excellent tool to organize local groups around, and to build networks of people who care about sustainability.
