Chapter and Node Meeting Thurs 9/3 – Make a Bigger Splash!
We are dedicating our 350Mass Action MetroWest Chapter meeting to this special event.  At 8:00pm, we will convene a zoom meeting of our 350Mass MetroWest Node (see below).
MetroWest Chapter: Launch a climate champion’s campaign.
The Chapter will discuss candidate endorsements, support, etc. (can’t say more on this website).
MetroWest Node: One last splash for a strong MA climate bill.

September may be our last chance as climate activists to influence what comes out of the state legislature this year. Join a short meeting of the MetroWest Node on Sep. 3 (8:00 to 8:30 pm), to learn what we’ll be doing about that, and how you can help. Background: A conference committee has recently been appointed to negotiate a compromise between the main climate action bills passed by the MA House and the MA Senate. Much like in 2018, the Senate bill is much bolder and better on most points, although the House bill includes a good environmental justice component. 350Mass and our allies have developed a detailed wish list to send to the conference committee members. We’re planning for how to increase the pressure, including traditional advocacy (calling/writing to our Reps) and creative “direct actions.”

Both of these endeavors need YOUR participation! Learn how you can make something happen!

Municipal Sustainability Checklist

We have created a municipal “sustainability checklist” that can help towns compare what they are doing with other towns, as well as get ideas and encourage collaboration. For residents, the checklist helps understand what towns are doing and not doing, as well as set priorities for local advocacy. For organizers, the checklist is an excellent tool to organize local groups around, and to build networks of people who care about sustainability.
