Node Meeting, Thurs 2/20 – Double your fun: a Node meeting and a Chapter meeting
Node meeting: Legislative update and next steps Lots of statehouse news: the Senate passed a very good climate package. In the House, the “Roadmap” bill made it out of committee, and an extension was granted until June 4 for our top-priority bills on carbon pricing and 100% renewables (your calls and emails helped!). We’ll talk about how we can help push for good House action and then getting something great passed by this summer.
Chapter meeting: Markey campaign. On January 23, we re-launched the Metrowest Chapter of 350 Mass Action, the affiliate of 350 Mass that can work for candidates in elections. We identified three main areas of activity for the chapter this year; the first on the calendar is to get delegates elected in Town caucuses to support Senator Markey at the state Democratic convention. On Feb. 20 we’ll focus on progress and next steps on that project. Come help us re-elect our Green New Deal champion! (And please join 350 Mass Action here.)
Please join the 350Mass Metrowest Node on Thursday, Feb 20, 7-9pm, First Parish, 327 Concord Rd., Sudbury
