Metrowest Node May 3rd Meeting – “Train the Trainers”

Metrowest Node May 3rd Meeting – “Train the Trainers”

Please join the 350Mass MetroWest Node for the next monthly meeting on Thursday, May 3, at First Parish Sudbury UU, 327 Concord Rd, Sudbury, MA at 7:00pm. As always, we will connect with folks from all over the MetroWest area, and update group members on statewide activities. NEW this month, a few of our members who attended’s “Train the Trainers” retreat will offer an exercise that will invite us to grow as activists and organizers. We will also break into working groups to focus on legislative campaigns, a new fundraising initiative for our statewide organization, and plans for influencing the upcoming conference of US Mayors, to be held in June in Boston. There are lots to do that will make a difference!

All are invited to participate in the breakout groups for the local initiatives as well as in the informal planning group that meets on dates prior to the monthly meeting. There will also be a chance for participants to share news and announcements from their organizations and municipalities. Arrive early to mingle. Light refreshments will be available.

Municipal Sustainability Checklist

We have created a municipal “sustainability checklist” that can help towns compare what they are doing with other towns, as well as get ideas and encourage collaboration. For residents, the checklist helps understand what towns are doing and not doing, as well as set priorities for local advocacy. For organizers, the checklist is an excellent tool to organize local groups around, and to build networks of people who care about sustainability.
